Pareidolia is a variable typeface created to enhance the expression of human emotions. Responding to vocal interactions, it dynamically transforms to reflect feelings through shapes associated with cognitive perception. Inspired by the Bouba/Kiki effect, Pareidolia transitions from a neutral form to a more expressive state.

This publication continues the exploration of Pareidolia, offering a theoretical perspective and explaining the research behind the project. It presents an essay on our ability to evoke emotions through graphic elements and our quest for universality in design in what is called “Irrational Systems”.

Neutral Culture is a book exploring the impact of unreferenced design on culture. It features two volumes joined at the spine, symbolizing the paradox between modernist and traditional ideologies. Focusing on Switzerland, the publication examines the country’s unique ability to blend universal and folkloric cultural elements.

We Are What We Eat

We Are What We Eat is a publication that explores the interplay between work and nutrition. Utilizing archival imagery, this project examines how environments are designed to enhance productivity and influence contemporary eating habits. 
The design of the publication includes references to traditional canteens, such as the large-format menus and the classic napkin used for the cover.

Aspen

Aspen was a collaborative project with the BBC’s Emerging Technologies team, where we set out to envision a new form of media. We designed a small, portable patch aimed at enhancing emotional connections between people, offering a solution to the growing social anxiety affecting younger generations. The name Aspen refers to the largest living organism, the Aspen tree, which forms a vast, interconnected forest.

The Gardener

The Gardener is a short film that delves into the delicate balance between life and death. Set within the thriller genre, the story follows a character who compels us to confront our diverse interpretations of the afterlife, using the life cycle of a plant as a powerful metaphor for the title. The entirety of the movie was shot on 16mm film with a Bolex Camera.

Legacy Media refers to all the different mediums and technologies that were once widely used but are now obsolete. The project revives memories and the emotional connections people once had with these objects, making a statement on how our technology has evolved.

New Map is an innovative approach to modernizing data visualization. This globe allows us to modularize information spatially, presenting data in specific regions. In this instance, it showcases global alcohol consumption patterns.
